What is Kundalini ?
A door to Absolute Freedom
According to Indian mystics, Kundalini is the spiritual energy, also called shakti or life force, that lies dormant at the base of the spine. The word Kundalini is from Kundala, meaning circular, spiral or coil. It is our true potential beyond our conditioned mind. Awakening of kundalini is the awakening of true intelligence to live in presence and grace in the moment. True fulfillment and freedom begin only when we awake the sleeping kundalini. It is the end of darkness (sufferings) and the beginning of the eternal bliss. A blissful person is naturally free and only a free can experience true love. True love is the secret key to all relationships. Relationships are the foundation of healthy society.
When Kundalini Shakti is activated, it rises through the chakras and melt with her beloved Shiva above the crown, which is called kundalini awakening, a complete dissolution of ego and transformation. It is awakening of eternal bliss which was dormant because of self-inflicted sufferings and pain. It is the taste of ultimate freedom. When consciousness is freed from all sense objects then consciousness is transform into super consciousness. All seeking and searching comes to an end and enjoying the ecstasy in present moment in small activities brings fulfillment. Looking for fulfillment outside shows that one is still not at home.
Kundalini awakening is opening or waking the Chakras, Elements, Shaktis, God and Goddess in order to dissolve all into pure consciousness or ultimate bliss (also called Shiva). When one merges with light, it becomes light itself. That’s why it said by the mystics, be the light to yourself.
So kundalini awakening is the awakening of the intelligence that shines beyond all dualities and Passion becomes compassion to support others on their journey.
Why Kundalini Yoga?
Kundalini Yoga is the Yoga of presence and awareness to live a fulfilled life. It is a science to vitalise our body and mind to awake the sleeping Kundalini energy which will enable us to realize our true nature and its full potential.
This yoga practice is designed to raise body awareness, and to prepare the body, nervous system, mind and emotions to handle the energy level of Kundalini rising. For this, we use yoga asanas, mantra, yantra, meditation, bandha, breath work and kriyas.
Traditional Kundalini Yoga should not be considered just as a stretching exercise, or a fitness class. It should be practiced daily with all necessary support and expert guidance, for the right maturation of the body and spiritual growth.
Traditional Kundalini Yoga is a powerful spiritual process which should be approached with awareness. It is like setting up a fire, and if not done correctly it can get out of control. On the other hand, when correctly handled, it has so many qualities and power, and can be used in so many ways to bring clarity and abundance to our daily life.
Traditional Kundalini Yoga is the path to dissolve our false selves and limitations to expand our consciousness to melt with divine. Therefore, it requires discipline, commitment, focus, determination and devotion, otherwise it is just another practice to entertain and disguise oneself.
